STOCKHATCH STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING
Minutes of meeting held at the Ripon Spa Hotel Sunday 20th January 2008

Present:- Calvin Bradley, Heath Luck, Steve Binks, Malcolm Chilvers, Frank Horner, Andy Heath, Martin Heath, Tony Watson, Craig Truelove, John Burton, Gary Wrigglesworth.

It is hoped to hold a meeting of the SHSC approximately every three months to keep in touch. This may be more easily facilitated at some Autograss meetings, e.g. York at Easter & Pennine in June at the SH Nationals. Committee members contact details to be updated.

New and amended rules to be introduced only after discussion and voting by SH drivers; any new rules will be put into place by November 30th (11:59pm) in readiness for the following season. Dave Walker to be approached regarding technical write up of SH rules.

Sealing - Applicable For 2008

All club Reps to push scrutineers etc for all SH cars in the club to be sealed and end of season checked. All Yorkshire Dales SH cars will be sealed and any “other club” cars turning up to a YD meeting will be sealed by YD upon request of the driver or the SHSC.
The ECU’s are, to be at minimum identified to the car by marking of the club number upon them. Further sealing may be done.
A diagram of general engine sealing is to be added to the rules (and the YD website) for clarification.

Clarifications - Applicable For 2008

Rule 6 – to be reworded so that the engine and gearbox are specified as separate units and “drive train” to be dropped. The gearbox must fit directly on to the engine without any modification to either the engine or the gearbox.
Rule 7 - Gearbox internals must not be interchanged.
Rule 8 – Standard overhaul is to include boring out by +20thou (even if this increases the capacity beyond class requirements). Decking of blocks is prohibited.
Rule 18 - radiators should all be in the original positions (as far as possible) from this year on.

Changes - Applicable For 2009 After Consultation

Rule 13 – to be reworded so that injection engines must remain injected
Rule 16 – to be reworded, Carburettor is free providing that it will fit directly on to the (standard) manifold without any adaptors or modifications to either carburettor or manifold.

Selling Rule - Applicable For 2009 After Consultation

After much discussion a compromise was reached whereby the price would be raised to £500 for the complete engine, gearbox, manifolds and injection system or carburettors. The wiring and ecu would not be purchased.

A person could only invoke the rule once during the year and an engine could only be purchased on one occasion during the year. A formal offer would have to be made to the committee of the club the car is registered with and the owner informed by them so that any offers would be formally recorded.

Finally Pennine club are holding the Stock Hatch Nationals this year on 14th & 15th June and there will be some major prize money up for grabs. They will announce more details later. Yorkshire Dales are holding a Stock Hatch Championship on their fun day on Sunday 4th May, where a trophy and the honour of winning at Thornborough will have to be enough.
